Texas Hold'em Poker (also known as just
plain Hold'em) Of all the Online poker games on
the planet today, Texas Holdem Poker is the
most popular. It's easy to learn and perhaps best of all, you may know what up
to five of your opponents cards are! Which, of course, may be why this game is
so fun and popular. We offer the same standard rules for
Texas Hold'em that you will find in any 'brick and mortar' casino.
Omaha High Poker is a close cousin to
Texas Hold'em Poker. The differences are that in
Omaha High Poker, each player is dealt four cards face down (hole cards) to
begin with, while at the 'showdown', players must use exactly two of the hole
cards to make a hand. No more or no less. Being dealt four hole cards increases
hand possibilities and can make for some very thrilling games.
Omaha Hi/Lo Poker, also known as
Omaha Hi/Lo 8 or better, is played the same as
Omaha High Poker except that the pot is split 50/50 between the highest hand
and the lowest hand. Players are dealt nine cards (4 hole cards and 5 community
cards) but make poker hands using only five cards, two of which must be hole
cards.
Seven Card Stud Poker is very popular in
Online poker rooms and is one the most popular Online poker games as well as
played widely in the home and in 'brick and mortar' poker rooms.
Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo Poker, also known
as Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo 8 or Better, is
played the same as regular Seven Card Stud
Poker except that the pot is split 50/50 between the highest hand and the
lowest hand.
Five Card Draw Poker is that classic
poker game where if you don't like the hand you're dealt, you can replace any or
all of the cards that you don't like with new ones.
Five Card Stud Poker rules are easy to
learn and like Seven Card Stud Poker, is
played in Online poker rooms, casinos and households throughout the world.
Lowball Poker is a version of
Draw Poker that is very similar to Five
Card Draw. The difference is that whoever has the lowest hand wins the pot.
There is also a 'joker' in the deck that is used as the lowest card not already
present in a players' hand.
